Vans (OFF THE WALL) By Elia

Vans are beast shoes; they are really good for skating and I jerk in them.

I think that Vans are really good shoes because they are really durable. They can last in the rain and when they get wet they don't soak. Well, it depends what type you have.

I have Vans (half calf) and Vans (Dollin) I really like them both. When I was playing Skate It--it is a video game where you can actually skateboard-- I made this tight trick and then I got sponsored (on the game, not in reality) and I had to choose if I wanted (Baker) or (Vans) and I chose Vans.

Ever since then, I haven't picked any other brand of shoes.

I like Vans, you should too!

FUN 4 ALL by Juan D.

We are going on a field trip to Fun 4 All. It's in Chula Vista right by the freeway.

It doesn't look fun becuase the place is very small.

There's going to be racing cars and boats in a pool and I am going to try to jump in the pool to stay fresh.

Then we are going to have pizza at Fun4 aAll and Mr. Wright is going to buy it for us. He is our etiquette teacher.

I think it is going to be boring becuase it is small and the things you can do don't look like that much fun.

Instead of walking there we will take the trolley and walk 8 blocks instead,

Modeling - Noelley'(:

Modeling is really harsh on you and your body. I love modeling most of the time, but sometimes I don't because it is harsh on your body. Or you are told to lose wieght and watch what you eat. That's really hard to do. I tried to do it a little -- they asked me to lose an inch but I have only been able to lose half an inch frm my hips and chest. It's alot harder than I thought it would be.

Mostly they want you to be skinny but not very skinny and they like tall pretty young ladies.

I didn't want to do it until I got the scholarship to do it. That means they pay for everything--pedicures, manicures, pictures or anything else I need to model.

The head of the agency asked me to stop waxing my eyebrow's, dying my hair and lose weight.

I'm not sure I want to do that but I have to do all of this before December 20th to get into the right shape. If I don't, I lose the scholarship. I'm not sure I want to this, if it means I have to change myself so much.

It's a lot different then I thought it would be. It's not fun and it's a lot of work.

Trash is good and bad. Trash is good because when you recycle you get money.

You can also make art with trash to entertain people.

Trash is bad because when you don't recycle you create a problem: what to do with all the garbage? You kill the world. Another reason why trash is bad? It stinks.

People love Santa Claus, but to me he is just weird and I'll tell you why.

First it's weird how he comes in through your chimney in the middle of the night and gives you presents. Or if you've been bad, all you get is coal in your stocking.

I wonder how a man his size can fit through a small little chimney. Also he gives children gifts, and in return all he wants is milk and cookies. I know that when I was a little kid the thought of a man going down my chimney and giving gifts under my tree scared me. And that song where it goes like "he sees you when your sleeping, he knows when your awake" was just a little strange, and definitley strange.

But if this Santa guy really is real, than it is very kind and thoughtful of him and his elves to make gifts for kids all over the world. So maybe this Santa Claus isn't so bad after all. (:

Why are Toms a fashion craze? by:Ricki

Do you know who Tom is? Just kidding their shoes called Toms, but mostly every teen is bananas about them,but why?

Personally I say they look like ninja shoes,just to be funny.But everyone wants them. The only colors I've seen are black, red, navy blue and sparkle ones in black and red.

Why are they so crazy about them? I can't answer that beause I don't like the shoes. They are dumb. But I like how they give pair of Toms to kids in Africa. That's the only thing I like about the shoes.

I just don't like them and they are also expensive. What's so special about them?

Well, anyway, Toms, the fashion craze, is one of the dumbest things ever. Why are they a fashion craze?

Pitbulls are one of the strongest and beautiful dogs.

There's a lot of kind of Pitbulls, like red nose pitbulls, blue nose pitbulls and bully pitbulls.

Many people use Pitbulls to fight. Look in the photos and you will see they are after a fight with other Pitbulls and dogs to win money.

A lot of other people think they are dangerous because of that. I have had all the kinds of Pitbulls and I know a lot about them, and if you treat them badly they will be bad. If you treat them well they will be good. They will always act the way you treat them.

So if you have a Pitbull please treat him good, give him food and please don't fight them.

Going Ice Skating By Edith

When I was in sixth grade, there was a field trip we had to pay thirteen dollars for--to go ice skating. I forgot the money at home and my mom was at work and no one was home to help me.

So my teacher was so nice that she payed for me. We went and we had to wait a long time in line.

Then when it was our turn to go, we went inside and had to get our shoes in the right size and the shoes looked like boots and the blade looked gray and sharp.

So then when we went in the ice skating rink we started to skate and every one had so much fun. I was skating and it was my first time ice skating and I fell but it was ok I had so much fun.

Why I like Tigger from the Movie Winnie the Pooh by Alyssa

I love Tigger because he is one of the best characters in the children’s movie Winnie the Pooh.

Tigger is a stuffed tiger that loves to bounce on his tail. Tigger is Winnie the Pooh’s best friend on the Walt Disney children’s movie Winnie the Pooh. I like Tigger because I used to watch the movie millions of times and I just thought Tigger was the cutest thing ever.

People started calling me Tigger as a child because I was always energetic. When I was a kid I would always jump on things so my best friend gave me the nickname Tigger. Even to this same day my friends still call me tigger.

I have many stuffed Tigger dolls. My favorite of the Tigger movie is when Tigger sings his song and also when Tigger Winnie the Pooh to the ground and tells Pooh bear, “The name is Tigger, as T-I-Double G-ER!!”

Even though I’m a teenager I still watch the movie now and then.
If you like kids’ movies, I’m letting you know Winnie the Pooh is a great movie, especially if you have kids of your own.

Do you get mad but don't know what to release it on? Try to release it on paper, draw how you feel, instead of releasing it on someone in your family or friends.

Art is to release your emotions out on paper, it really helps you relax and cool down. My TA ( teacher's assistant ) teaches us how to draw, paint, and different stroke techniques.

With Mr. B we did paintings of Sankara's (cherry blossom trees). This week we are doing a project about recycling trash to do art, plus we are learning how to help the earth. You can use art to express your emotions. That's what I do with Mr. B.

Alexus mom is going to buy me a skateboard.

My birthday was yesterday on Nov 1.

I turned 13, and my dad gave money and I wasted it on candy and food. I wanted to get a motorcycle for my birthday and I think everyone deseves anything they want for their birthday.

For now, Im cool down that alexus mom is going to get me a skateboard.

I would like other stuff like a car , my own taco shop or a choclate factory , but I am not that picky so i relly don't care what I get.

I am happy my birthady past.That's awesome.

I like the color blue because there`s diferent kinds of blue.

I like blue because it gives me diferent kinds of feelings.

There are colors for everything. Most people think of blue as calm or sad but I think of it as crazy. When I close my eyes I think of blue as an Avatar, or the ocean. My favorite color to wear is blue

I like other colors, but my favorite is blue.

Going Racing at the Tracks,By Edith

When I went racing on a bike was the best thing I ever done in my life. I had to wear a helmet for proctection Then I had to wear tifht lothes and it was uncomfortablewearing it.

The program is the Veloyouth. We learned as a class how to pump a bicycle wheel,and change a tire, and how to balance without falling or tripping.

We also had to point at our partner and ride the bike with one hand. I wish other kids had that chance to go with us this year and race. After when were done with the racing of the year, we got our certificate of completion with our photograph.

My skater friends by Dinora

I like skaters, especially if those skaters are my friends,because they are my role models.Because of my friends doing all kinds of tricks,they can feel important.Where I used to live all my friends were skaters and I remember that I asked one of my friends:how did you become a skater?

Then he just told me: be yourself, so I started practicing all kinds of tricks and learned how to use a skateboard.All my friends told me something that was already inside of me,that I always had.

They always go skating because they were sad or maybe mad,they channel all their mad emotions by skating. At last I really became a skater.Any time I needed something I could always go and talk to them.

But years passed and I had to move to another house so now I am not a skater anymore but I really miss my friends. Now my brother is a skater and I really love that.That's why I like them as my role models.

BOO! Did I scare you? Probaly not but I just want to talk about Halloween, One of my favorite holidays ever, because of candy.

I like Halloween Because of By that i mean the scary stuff, like The Haunted Hotel, The Haunted Trails, and Screan Zone. Even costumes and moives. I don'tknow what I'm going to be, do you know what your poing to be? My class is going to make a haunted house in our classroom for the little kids in our school. So it can't be scary too scary. We can make them a little scared but not to make them run and scream or wet thier pants. He he, it's just for them to have fun.

Anyways Halloween is one of my favorite holidays besides Christmas and my Birthday! Also BOO!!! Did I scare you? Man!

Mexican White Boy By: Joseph

Mexican White Boy is a book by Matt de la Peña.

This book is about a kid of 16 years old. His dad is Mexican and his mom is American. In the summer of that year the kid went to stay with his cousin from his dad's family. She lived in National City. What they did almost everyday was that they played baseball. He had never been in that neighborhood with his cousin. Not all of the teens liked him there. Like he was new, no one thought that he was cool. One of my favorite parts is that he gets to meet his dad that he hasn't seen for 10 years.

You should read this book. He has a lot of adventures. Just go to the library and ask for Mexican White Boy by Matt de la Peña. Recomended by me.

Monkeys, by Jacob

Chimpanzees are cool because they act like humans. I think that they are an animal/caveman type of thing.

Chimpanzees live in Africa and China. They grow p to three to four-and-a-half feet tall. The weigh up to 110 pounds.

Their habitat is in the forest. Chimps live in groups of 30 to 80 individuals. Chimps use bamboo or large sticks to throw at their enemies.

I hope to own a monkey one day. To me, they are the most interesting and funny animals in the world.
